Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from next door Thailand, in which casino wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are situated in a generally tiny area in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect area, a three to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai laborers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital acquired from the gambling halls ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; still, financial sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 1700, and though visas are for all intents and purposes necessary to cross, there are ways around this, as is correct of most borders.

The 1st Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just a single gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored boat gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and sixty gaming tables. The Naga casino is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of 21, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are 150 one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slot machine games and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and 96 table games, including 87 punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the common tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive vacation and hotel compound that highlights a number of amenities on top of the casino, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and 88 table games.
